10 of us set out from Priston on a cold but sunny day.

We walked uphill to Tunley and then dropped down to the valley, following parts of the Limestone Link and the Somerset Coal Canal. Along the way we saw remnants of the old railway line and canal that served the coalfields in this area and the Paulton Basin, the oldest dry dock in the country, which is currently being renovated.

Lunch was at the top of a hill near Timsbury where we sat in the sunshine and enjoyed spectacular views.

On the last part of the walk we encountered a feisty donkey (who we had already met on our pre-walk) but we all got out of the field unscathed! An enjoyable walk in lovely sunshine.
