Walk Leader: Sue Rogers
On a lovely autumnal morning, ten of us set off on a local walk, which was around nine miles. We walked from Saltford, along the river, through Newton St Loe village and into The University of Bath Spa grounds.
We stopped for coffee in the picturesque Italian Gardens in Bath Spa and then walked through the fields to Stanton Prior. We then walked up to Stantonbury Hill, where we had lunch overlooking Bristol and the Suspension Bridge with lovely views of Wales in the back ground.
We returned through the fields to the south of Saltford, in the glorious sunshine, near the Wheatsheaf Pub, through Longwood and back into Saltford.
Whilst a little muddy, the autumnal colours more than made up for it. A beautiful walk.
Looks like a great walk – lovely photos
