Offa’s Dyke

On a beautiful sunny day in July the Walkers travelled to the Wye for an 8 mile walk. We parked in the charming village of Brockweir and wound our way past pretty cottages, a 16th century church and eventually the 13th century castle, which is now used as a youth hostel.

We followed the Offa’s Dyke footpath, which offered some stunning views of the surrounding countryside, finally arriving beside the river Wye which we followed for a couple of miles ending at a a white girder bridge where we had our lunch before a long trek uphill back to our cars.
