The sun came out today! We met in Congresbury and set off following the river Yeo before heading through fields to view an old waterwheel, a herd of calves were more afraid of us than we were of them so we set off uphill through a narrow muddy footpath to cross the road and walk up what looked like a private drive to reach our first wood. Part way up the path we stopped for coffee to look at the view. The bluebells were out in places as we continued up and out of the wood to pass through a field to reach our only small bit of road walking. A rough track then led us into goblin Combe. Down through the still muddy track. The next pathway took us up to our lunch stop overlooking the channel. The final section was nearly all in woodland where the bluebells were out in abundance but in places overshadowed by the wild garlic. At the bottom we came upon another new housing estate/building site where we diverted around the perimeter to return via the Yeo to our cars. A lovely warm and sunny walk, thanks Colin for leading whilst feeling under the weather.

Looks a bit cooler than Kennedy Space Centre!
