Cotswold Way – Saturday 13/4/24

A group of 10 walkers started from Saltford Hall in beautiful spring sunshine. By the time we reached the top of the lane that heads to the top of Kelston Tump, we were all quite warm!

We followed the Cotswold Way towards Weston Village, then via All Saints Church towards Primrose Hill, where we stopped for lunch. We had a beautiful view across the valley, with the RUH in the foreground. As we walked towards the centre of Bath via Sion Hill and Victoria Park, we appreciated how lucky we are to have such a lovely city on our door step.

We battled the Saturday shoppers and visitors to stop at the front of Bath Abbey and have a photograph taken at the Cotswold Way start/finish circular flagstone. The walk was slightly longer than expected (just over 7 miles) so a rest on the bus back to Saltford was appreciated. A walk with perfect weather and beautiful views.
