Walk Leaders: Amanda Speed and Julie Nash
Today, we enjoyed a circular walk attended by 4 walkers, exploring the old Somerset coal fields around Timsbury and Camerton. The views of the Cam Valley remained uninterrupted by rain (only a short shower near lunchtime). The route followed old railway and canal tracks and included the Camerton Nature Reserve. A short break was taken admiring St Peter’s Church (dates back to the 15th century). We then walked through the grounds of Camerton Court followed by lanes and fields returning us to Timsbury Square. A very enjoyable walk in beautiful countryside.
The field of sweetcorn…like walking through a jungle.
Well done all – clearly a happy time! Nigel
