There were 10 of us on the walk this time. We started with a climb up and around Batts Combe Quarry which is north of Cheddar, which was quite steep in parts. Once we reached the top, we were rewarded with a fantastic view across the Mendips.
The walk from there was gently undulating across the open scenery of the hills north of Cheddar until we reached the top of Cheddar Gorge itself on the south side. We walked down the Cheddar Gorge trail along the top, and the views were spectacular as can be seen from the photo below.
The weather was perfect and a good time was had by all.
